Hi Moms and Dads,
It was good to be back Friday. Our bears had a great time at their spend the night party. Many of you got good pictures of the bears misbehaving. We will continue with our bear activities on Monday. If your child has completed reading their "books in the bag" please return both no later than Tuesday. We have more books to put in our bag.
"Brown Bag Share" was a huge success. I saved every one's brown bag so that we can repeat that activity on another occasion.

Hi Moms and Dads,
We have had another great week. The behavior in my class has been superb this week. The children are so proud of themselves for getting a sticker each day this week. I am proud of them too. They made wise choices all week.
Everyone is enjoying their book box. The children love choosing a book from their box when their work is completed. At the end of the nine weeks these books will go home forever. We will start over with new books.

Hi Moms and Dads,
This week your child will bring home a Ziploc bag containing a reader. Please listen to your child read this book at least twice. When this is completed return the reader in the bag. Each child now has a book box of their own on their table. As the readers are returned they will be placed in their box. They are free to read these during the day as their work is finished. After a few weeks the children may bring these books home to keep. We are very excited about having our own book box. Please encourage your child to read each night or listen to someone read a story.
Stapled on the left side of your child's blue folder is a "Behavior Calendar". Each day on their calendar they will receive a sticker as a reward for good behavior for that day. If there is no sticker on a day it means your child did not make good choices that day. Not earning a sticker usually corrects the issue. We have discussed this in class and the children understand.

Listening is the key to success in the classroom. It is also important for our neighbors to be able to think and do their work. Good listeners are great learners!!
Have a great week. You and your children are a blessing to me.
